Former University of Evansville standout Cory Elenio came up short in his bid for a championship, but he played a key role in the Carolina Railhawks advancing to the USSF D-2 Pro League title game.  The Puerto Rico Islanders defeated Elenio's RailHawks 3-1 in aggregate scoring in their two-match series.

Elenio was a two-time all-Missouri Valley Conference forward for the Aces, in 2006 and 2007, and also made the all-Midwest Region Team.  He played a year for MLS champion Columbus Crew following his career at UE.
