University of Evansville sophomore guard Colt Ryan (Batesville, Ind./Batesville) is the Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week and the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. 

The 6'5" Ryan scored 45 points in Evansville's two games last week, including 31 at Middle Tennessee to tie his career high. He added 14 in Saturday's win over 23rd ranked Butler that ended the Bulldogs' 17-game homecourt win streak. Ryan hit 11 of 19 shots at Middle Tennessee, including 6-for-10 from three-point range. On Saturday at Butler, he helped ignite Evansville’s come-from-behind victory with 10 points in the second half. He also had four assists in each game. Ryan averaged 14.5 points last season in earning MVC Freshman of the Year honors, and currently leads UE with a 16.2 scoring average. 

Now 3-2, the Aces are off until Sunday when they play at Air Force as part of the Missouri Valley Conference/Mountain West Conference Challenge Series.
