The final home game for the University of Evansville men's basketball game comes Tuesday against the 24-3 Panthers of Northern Iowa, ranked #22 in this week’s ESPN/USA Today Poll, and #25 in the AP Top 25. Tip-off is at 7:05 CST at Roberts Stadium. UNI leads the series against Evansville 18-17 and has won 10 straight against the Aces. That’s the longest winning streak for any MVC team against UE. The last time UE beat the Panthers was Jan. 7, 2005 at Roberts Stadium, 92-73.

•Game one between these two teams took place way back on January 1 at Cedar Falls. Evansville fell behind 14-1, then outscored the Panthers 32-17 to go up 33-31 at halftime. The second half was all UNI. The Panthers outscored UE 34-13 in the final 20 minutes to win 65-46. The 46 points are the fewest scored by Evansville since the final game of the 2007-08 season. Denver Holmes was the only Evansville player with more than six points, scoring 17. Adam Koch (16) and Johnny Moran (15) led UNI.

•Evansville is the only MVC school without a senior on scholarship, but the Aces will have a senior to honor Tuesday in their final home game. Trevor Gregory is in his fourth year as a walk-on. He has played in 30 games in his career, including six this season. Gregory earned an academic scholarship from UE after being a valedictorian at Evansville Harrison High School in 2006.

•The Aces won’t have to face 7’0”, 280-pound Jordan Eglseder, a likely first team all-MVC selection who is second in scoring (12.2) and first in rebounding (7.6) for UNI. He will sit out his third consecutive game as part of a three-game suspension for an arrest on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence (OWI).

•Evansville must shoot better than the opposition in order to win. The Aces are 7-4 this season when they shoot a higher percentage, 0-16 when they do not. UE’s opponents have shot better than 50 percent only seven times all season, but four of those +.500 games by the opposition have come in UE’s last six games.

•Sophomore Denver Holmes is 26-for-50 from the floor in his last seven games for 52 percent shooting. For the season, he is third on the team in accuracy at 45.4 percent, trailing Clint Hopf (.525) and James Haarsma (.486). Both Holmes and Haarsma surpassed 100 field goals for the season in Saturday’s game against UIC.

•Colt Ryan on Saturday became only the fourth MVC freshman in the last 10 years to surpass 400 points. Ryan goes into Tuesday's game with 403 points, and needs 14 to become the league's top scoring freshman in the past decade. The trio ahead of him includes P'Allen Stinnett (416), Luke McDonald (412) and David Moss (410).

•Junior Clint Hopf is averaging only 6.6 points per game this season, but he's been Evansville's top scorer over the last three games with 46 points. Hopf scored a career-high 14 on Feb. 13 at Southern Illinois, 14 again Wednesday at Wichita State, and 18 Saturday against UIC. Hopf is 17-for-27 from the field in the last three games.

•Here’s a look at UE’s MVC stat leaders. Colt Ryan: #1 Minutes Played (35.2), #2 scoring (14.9), #6 3-Pointers Per Game (2.0), #8 FT Pct. (.833), #9 Steals (1.2), #10 Assists (3.0). James Haarsma: #4 Rebounding (7.2), #7 FG Pct. (.486). Troy Taylor: #6 Assist To Turnover Ratio (1.7), #6 Assists (3.3). Denver Holmes: #3 FT Pct. (.862). Ned Cox: #5 3-Point Percentage (.409). Kavon Lacey: #9 Assists (3.2).
