With the women preparing for Missouri Valley Conference Championships next week, the University of Evansville men’s swimming and diving team will travel to Southern Illinois on Saturday to take on the Salukis at noon.

The meet versus the Salukis marks the end of the regular season for the men, and they will begin getting ready for the Mid-American Conference Championships in early March.

“This meet is the last opportunity for the guys to demonstrate where they are at in the season,” said Evansville head coach Rickey Perkins. “We are going there with the goal to race well. Many of the guys will be competing in different events that they will be in at conference. This is just another chance for us to get good races in.”

In the Aces’ last competition, UE grabbed a win over Asbury College after seven swimmers and divers took first place in their individual events. As a team, the Aces also posted wins in both the 400 medley and 400 free relays.
