The University of Evansville men’s swimming and diving team closed out the regular season Saturday with a tough 140-96 loss at Southern Illinois.

The Aces will now start preparing for the Mid-American Conference Championships March 4-6 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Although the outcome may have not been the ideal ending, many Aces posted top times of the season. Junior Will Spradley with 1:46.63 in the 200 free, freshman Alex Seward with 53.36 in the 100 back and freshman Kyle Tiemann with 4:55.15 in the 500 free all recorded top UE times in the meet. Spradley also took first in the 100 free while being a member on the first place 200 free relay with Tiemann, Seward and Jake Harrington.
