The University of Evansville softball team will look to jump back on track this weekend, as the Aces (5-11, 0-2) travel to Peoria, Illinois, to face the Bradley Braves (9-11, 0-0). Originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, forecasts of inclement weather has changed the games to a doubleheader Friday at 1:30 p.m. and the final game at noon on Saturday.
The Aces took home four tough losses this week after games at Middle Tennessee State University and Southern Illinois. Sophomore Allison Aguilera brings a three-game hitting streak to this weekend's match-up after one of her hits brought in the game-tying run in game two at SIU. Junior Jen Stahlhut recorded her third double of the season and 26th of her career versus SIU.
Bradley is facing a five-game losing streak after a 1-0 loss at SIU-Edwardsville on Tuesday. Amanda Clack leads the team offensively and in pitching. Clack ranks first this season with 21 hits and 11 runs while holding a 6-2 mark and 3.34 ERA. Kate Singler is also a factor at the plate, as she holds 19 RBI and four of the team's five home runs.
The weekend's games will be aired on 91.5 WUEV with Jason Troop providing play-by-play for the Aces. With the schedule change, Friday's game will be an internet-only broadcast and can be found on WUEV's website or by
