After emerging as one of the team's leader offensively this past week, softball player Krista Price has been named UE's Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week.

With home games against Southern Illinois and Indiana State, Price led the Aces to a 3-1 week. Hitting .500 through the four games, Price hit one of two UE home runs to hand the Salukis their first MVC loss on Wednesday. The Kentucky native carried her momentum into the weekend versus Indiana State, as she went 3-for-4 with one run and a grand slam in the Aces' 8-2 win in game two for the doubleheader sweep. The home run gave Price a new career high of four RBI while also increasing her lead as UE's all-time career home run leader with 27 in her career.

Price and the Aces are scheduled to play seven games this week with doubleheaders at Austin Peay on Wednesday and hosting Western Kentucky on Thursday at 5 p.m. UE then travels to Illinois State for a three-game series starting at noon on Saturday.
