The University of Evansville men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will kick off the second half of the 2010-11 season with a dual meet at Miami of Ohio tonight at 4:00 p.m. The Aces’ matchup with the RedHawks marks the first time that UE has faced competition since the Delta State Christmas Invitational in early December.
The women are coming off a second place finish at the Delta State Invitational.
Alex Howard set another school record in the 100-backstroke with a time of 57.09, marking the third time this season that she has set a best time in the event. Diver
Sadie Wells took first place on the 1-meter boards while
Jen Childers finished first on the 3-meter boards with a season-best score of 249.25.
The men claimed third place at the Delta State Invitational. The men’s relay team of
Chris Nash,
Colin Gray,
Alex Seward and
Kyle Tiemann swam a season-best time of 1:35.79 in the 200-medley relay to post a first place finish over Mid-American Conference rival Missouri State. Seward also posted a career-best time of 47.06 in the 100-freestyle.
