This week's Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week at the University of Evansville is freshman cross country runner Josh Genet. Genet helped the University of Evansville men's cross country team to its highest team finish in school history at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships over the weekend, by setting a new school record in the men's 10-K event with a time of 32:10.7, to narrowly break the mark of former all-Missouri Valley Conference standout Nick Waninger. Genet placed 89th overall on the men's side in the 10-K race, and he will be one of 21 returning runners for the UE men's and women's cross country teams next season.
