Senior swimmer Jake Harrington is this week's Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week at the University of Evansville after a strong all-around showing at the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Invitational to help the Purple Aces to a second-place team finish. 

Harrington placed first overall in the men's 200-yard freestyle event with a time of 1:42.86.  He also posted top-three finishes in both the 200-yard backstroke (third - 1:54:37) and the 400- and 800-yard freestyle relay events (third and second respectively).  He also finished less than four seconds off of UE's individual record in the 500-yard freestyle event with a time of 4:39.01.

The Purple Aces will have the rest of the first semester off, before returning to action over winter break at the Delta State Invitational in Cleveland, Mississippi on December 16 through 18.
