EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Celebrate the Aces’ new home at the Ford Center, enjoy food from local restaurants, and get a sneak peek at Ace Purple’s new look! The community is invited to the Aces Fan Fest before the men’s basketball game against Butler University on Saturday, November 12.
 
The Aces Fan Fest will take place from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at D-Patrick Ford (corner of Fifth and Locust streets).
 
Food and drinks will be available for purchase (cash only) from Kanpai, La Sombra Coffee Roasting Co., the River City Roller/Zesto truck, UE Strength and Conditioning coaches, the UE Venturing Crew, and AcesTV. Among the choices will be pulled pork, hot dogs, hot and cold drinks, and UE-themed candy.
 
Also at the Aces Fan Fest, teams of UE students will compete in a chili cook-off and the UE’s Best Dance Crew contest. Fans can have their pictures taken with Ace Purple, UE’s newly redesigned mascot whose new look will be officially unveiled inside the Ford Center at approximately 1:55 p.m. The game begins at 2:05 p.m.
