The 15-15 Aces will host the 21-11 Pride Tuesday at 7:05 CDT at the Physical Activities Center (PAC) on the University of Southern Indiana campus in the first round of the fourth annual College Basketball Invitational presented by Zebra Pen.  Roberts Stadium is not available this week because of Disney On Ice.

Pairings for the 16-team CBI were announced Sunday night.  First-round games take place Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by quarterfinals March 21 and semifinals March 23.  Once the semifinals are completed, the CBI becomes a best two-out-of-three tournament, with games March 28, March 30, and if necessary, April 1. HD Net, which reaches 23 million homes, will televise four opening round games, two quarterfinal games, both semifinals, and all games in the finals.

Hofstra is led by All-America candidate Charles Jenkins, a senior guard who comes into Tuesday's game with 2,499 career points, second only in Division I to the 2,501 points of BYU's Jimmer Fredette. Jenkins is the nation's seventh leading scorer this season with a 22.9 average.  In addition to leading Hofstra to a 21-11 record, Jenkins also led the Pride to a 14-4 record in the Colonial Athletic Association.  Hofstra reached the semifinals of the CAA Tournament, losing 77-69 to Old Dominion.  Hofstra's RPI is 86, according to the latest RealTimeRPI ratings.  Evansville is 135.
