EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Universty of Evansville women’s basketball signee, LeiLoni Smith has been named to the Small East All-State Girls Basketball Team by the Oklahoma Coaches Association and will play in a the all-state Game on July 27th.
Smith signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Evansville on November 10, 2010, and will be a part of UE’s three-man freshman class next fall, along with Juliann Miller (Louisville, Ky./Mercy Academy) and Kourtni Taylor (Akron, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy).
A 5-11 guard from Vian, Okla., Smith scored 400 points, averaging 17.4 per game, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in her senior year. Throughout her high school career, Smith has received a number of accolades, including Big 8 all-conference, Sequoyah County all-tournament team, and Tulsa World all state.
The all-state game will be played on July 27th at the Mabee Center.
