EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Both the men’s and womens’ swimming and diving teams at the University of Evansville are recipients of the Team Scholar All-America Award for the 2010-2011 academic year by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
UE’s women’s swimming and diving team had the second-highest team grade point average at the Division I level with a combined 3.59, while the men’s squad ranked 10th with a 3.3 GPA.
The Team Scholar All-America Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coaches organization in America. In addition to Scholar All-American Awards, the CSCAA recognizes All-American swimmers and divers at the national championships every year.
