University of Evansville junior men's soccer player Jesse Sharp has been named this week's Vectren Student-Athlete of the Week, after helping the Purple Aces to the tournament title at the Grand Prairie Classic hosted by Bradley University as tournament Most Valuable Player.

Sharp scored a goal and notched three assists, including assisting on the game-winning goal in UE's 2-1 overtime victory over previously undefeated Memphis in the tournament title game.  Sharp is currently tied for the team lead with three goals, and leads the squad with five assists and 11 points offensively.

Sharp and the Purple Aces (4-2 overall) will return to action next on Friday, as they will travel to Lexington, Kentucky to take on nationally-ranked Kentucky.
