EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Evansville men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams fell to Missouri State in last night’s dual meet. The men’s squad was defeated by a final score of 138-97 while the women lost 149-94.
Freshman
Michelle Tipton and junior
Sadie Wells led the way for the women, each notching two first place finishes on the night. Tipton won the 200-free with a time of 1:54.59 before finishing the meet with a first place time of 5:06.72 in the 500-free. Wells swept the diving events, scoring 248.10 on the 1-meter board and an impressive 283.95 on the 3-meter.

Alex Howard and freshman
Caroline Lee both ended the night with a second place finish, Howard in the 200-back and Lee in the 200-breast.
Six UE men’s swimmers posted second place finishes against the Bears. Senior
Jake Harrington touched in at 1:49.66 in the 200-free while Will Spradly barely missed the mark in the 50-free, swimming it in 21.93 to take second place. Junior

Ashton Bishop swam the 100-free in 48.25 before sophomore
Ryan Metzger took second in the 200-back. Senior
Colin Gray ended the meet for the Aces with a second place time in the 200-breast, finishing in 2:07.42.
The Aces will compete in their second meet of the weekend later today as they make a stop in Saint Louis for an invitational with the Billikens and Eastern Illinois. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 pm.
