Day One Results

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Sydney Skiles tallied an opening-round score of 76 as the University of Evansville women’s golf team finished day one of the Dayton Fall Invitational in 11^th place entering Tuesday’s final round.
 
Skiles finished the opening day six strokes over par to stand in a tie for 13^th place.  Cathy Doyle is currently three strokes behind Skiles as her 79 puts her in a tie for 32^nd.
 
Freshman Paige Crafton carded an 82 to tie for 50^th while Dana Hayden (88) and Kelly Lamarche (93) rounded out UE’s squad on Monday.
 
Detroit Mercy sits atop the leaderboard with a team total of 291.  Detroit had three players finish the opening round in the top eight.  They have a seven-stroke lead over Oakland.  Evansville finished the day with a 325 and is seven shots out of the top ten as Youngstown State finished day one with a 318.
 
The teams will play one more round beginning at 8 a.m. CT at the NCR North Course.
