EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The tip off time for the University of Evansville men’s basketball team’s season-opening contest at Notre Dame was announced on Sunday.
 
Evansville and the No. 22 Irish are set to tip off at 1 p.m. CT (Notre Dame is in the eastern time zone) at Purcell Pavilion next Saturday.
 
The Aces are coming off of a 2-0 preseason, gaining wins over USI last weekend before taking down Illinois Springfield by a 79-54 final on Saturday.  Colt Ryan led the way in both contests, tallying 33 versus the Screaming Eagles before finish with 17 against the Prairie Stars.
 
Notre Dame was 22-12 a season ago, including a 16-1 mark at home.  The Irish season ended with a 67-63 loss to Xavier in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
