EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women’s tennis team returns Evansville to play its first home outdoor match of the season as they will face IPFW on Sunday morning beginning at 11 a.m.

Wesselman Park will play host to the match and is located just off of Boeke Road in the vicinity of Roberts Stadium.  The park is located north of the Lloyd Expressway.  After you make the turn into the park, you proceed to the left, then make another left a few feet further, which will take you directly to the courts.

The Purple Aces have been on a streak as of late, going 4-1 in their last five matches.  In a spring break trip to Orlando, Fla., Evansville went 1-1, topping Sacred Heart before falling to Radford.  Prior to that, UE picked up wins over SIU Edwardsville, Eastern Illinois and Butler.

Evansville’s last action came on March 8 as the squad beat Sacred Heart, 5-2, before losing a close 4-3 match to Radford.  Emily Richardson picked up her first singles win of the season against the Pioneers, taking 6-4, 6-2 victories.  The Aces picked up the doubles point to start things off as Aleks Dzakula and Jessica Raatz earned a sweep in the third flight.

Later that day, UE fell in a heartbreaker to Radford as the Highlanders came away with the 4-3 win.  Four singles matches went three sets as RU won three of those to take the win.

On Wednesday, Evansville will open up MVC play at Southern Illinois, traveling to Carbondale for a 2 p.m. match.
