CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Aces runner
Cody Stein remained undefeated in the spring as he picked up a pair of victories at the Austin Peay Invitational on Saturday.
Stein helped the University of Evansville sweep the top three spots in the 1500M and the top four spots in the 3000M. The junior ran a 4:06.42 in the 1500, finishing ahead of
Josh Genet (4:08.32) and
Samuel Mires (4:10.46).
He followed that up with a victory in the 3000M, running a time of 8:49.25 to top Genet once again. Genet ran a 9:11.76 to place ahead of Mires (9:31.76) and
Andrew Barrett (9:41.40) as UE grabbed the top four spots.
On the women’s side,
Kirsten Perrey was the lone Aces to compete on the holiday weekend, placing fourth in the 3000M with a time of 11:11.24.
