EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The University of Evansville men’s soccer team is still over a month away from reporting to campus for the 2012 season, but the Aces are working hard off university grounds in preparation for the upcoming year. A number of UE soccer players are using the summer to hone skills across the country in the Premier Development League, Super-20 League, and National Premier Soccer League.

Some highlights already this summer include Aces sophomores Nick Schroeder, Peter May, Charlie Macias, and incoming freshman Ryan Coates competing at the 2012 USYSA Region II Championships in Saginaw, Mich., June 23-27. Macias and the Columbus Crew took the U-19 title and will now advance to the 2012 US Youth Soccer National Championships to be played July 25-29, at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill, S.C.
