EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men’s soccer team will be looking to end a three-game losing streak Sunday afternoon when it welcomes non-conference foe Oral Roberts to Arad McCutchan Stadium for a 2 p.m. match.
The Purple Aces (4-3-0) were shutout, 2-0, by visiting Kentucky last Saturday night on their home pitch, as the Wildcats limited UE to just six shots while taking 18 of their own. Sophomore goalkeeper

Peter May led the Aces offensively with two shots. As a team, Evansville has scored 10 goals this season, but it has been held to just one over its last three games.

Faik Hajderovic leads UE offensively with six points on a goal and four assists, while
Alex Kapsalis,
Nate Opperman and
Jesse Sharp are in a three-way tie for second on the squad with four points each. Opperman and Sharp have each scored a team-high two goals and are two of eight players to find the back of the net. In goal, Teppen has played all 640 minutes for UE, making 38 saves and posting a 1.83 goals against average.
Oral Roberts (1-7-0) will be looking for just its second win of the year in a Summit League match at IPFW Friday night in Ft. Wayne, Ind., before making the trip south to Evansville. After dropping their first five games of the season, the Golden Eagles to their first win at Air Force, besting the Falcons, 1-0, in overtime. Since that victory, ORU has gone 0-2 and been outscored 9-0, as they dropped a 4-0 decision at Denver and fell 5-0 at home to Oakland in its conference opener. On the season, the Golden Eagles have been outscored 23-5 and been whistled for 20 cards, including four of the red variety.
Craig Rogers leads Oral Roberts with four points on a pair of goals and Gerardo Salas ranks second on the team with three points, all coming on assists. Three other players have netted a goal for the Golden Eagles and are responsible for the other six ORU points this season. In goal, Ryan Grashik has been the primary keeper, making 25 saves in 587 minutes, but he has also allowed 21 goals for a 3.22 goals against average. Isaac Sandoval boasts the best numbers of the three Golden Eagle keepers with 12 saves, a 0.74 goals and a .923 save percentage.
Evansville and Oral Roberts have met three previous times on the pitch with the Aces holding a slim 2-1 advantage in the all-time series. The two sides last met in 2007 at the Memphis Classic, where the Golden Eagles posted a 2-1 victory.
