EVANSVILLE, Ind. – On the strength of a 3-2 overtime road win at Georgia State, the University of Evansville men’s soccer team has moved up in the national polls this week.
After receiving three votes in last week’s NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men’s Poll, the Aces received seven votes this week. In the Midwest Regional Poll, Evansville is now in sixth place as fellow Missouri Valley Conference schools Creighton and SIU Edwardsville sit atop the poll at No. 1 and 2, respectively.
Evansville’s top vote tally comes from the SoccerTimes.com College Coaches Poll, which has the Aces garnering nine votes, tying for 32
nd in the country.
The Aces will look to improve on those rankings this weekend as they play host to the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic where they will square off against Cincinnati and Portland.
