EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville’s swimming and diving teams will return to the pool Saturday afternoon when they travel to face Western Kentucky in a dual meet. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
During the UE women’s meet last weekend against Vanderbilt, teammates
Abby Smith,
Mackenzie Harris,
Samantha Montgomery, and
Michelle Tipton placed first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 1:41.79. The UE women also brought home eight second place wins, including the 200-yard medley relay which teammates
Abby Smith,
Taylor Shotwell,
Jill Enge, and
Michea Reinitz finished with a time of 1:49.91.
At the conclusion of their last meet against Eastern Illinois, the UE men were victorious in seven different events, including the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:28.41 and the 400-yard medley relay with a final time of 3:42.49.
Teammates
Matthew Newland,
Garrett Johnson, and
Cameron Wickes were victorious in the men’s 1500-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 15:04.70. #Ethan O’Rourke#,
Troy Burger, Christopher Weisheit, and
Alex Seward also claimed a win in the 800-yard medley relay with a time of 8:10.58.
The Aces also took the top spot in both the men’s 500-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:19.78, as well as the men’s 300-yard butterfly relay clocking in at 2:41.27.
After Saturday’s meet with Western Kentucky , the Aces look to January 25 when they will face Ball State.
