INDIANAPOLIS – At the midway point of the Butler Fall Invitational, the University of Evansville women's golf team stands in seventh place with 18 more holds remaining at Highland Country Club.
 
With an opening round score of 79, Kayla Katterhenry leads the way for the Purple Aces as she is tied for ninth place.  Sophomore Paige Crafton carded an 82 on her way to tying for 27^th while Cathy Doyle was a shot behind with an 83.
 
Maggie Camp posted an 86 on Wednesday and stands in a tie for 38^th while Dana Hayden was a stroke behind with an 87.  Kelly Lamarche, seeing time as an individual, registered an opening-round score of 88.
 
Purdue had a successful outing as they sit atop the team standings by 16 shots while boasting the top two individuals.  Aurora Kan and Brooke Beegle each shot a 1-over 71 to share the lead by two shots over Jenna Peters of Butler.
 
As a team, the Boilermakers finished the day with a 296 and stand ahead of second-place Butler by 16.  Indiana State is in third with a 314 while Loyola sits in fourth place with a 320.  Evansville is in seventh place with a 330.
