EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Summer camps for the University of Evansville men’s basketball team are quickly approaching as the first set of day camps are less than three weeks away!
Four different camp options are available including a Day Camp, High School Shoot-Out, Shooting Skills Camp and a Father and Son Camp. Those wishing to register may do so at any time by clicking the link above. Participants may also sign up at the door on the first day of each camp.
The popular Day Camps, which are among the best camps in the Midwest, will contain three sessions this year, with each costing $195. The first session will be from June 3-6, the second is from June 24-27 while the third is July 15-18. The first two sessions are for grades 1-12 while the third is for grades 1-6 only.
Each session goes from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily while going to noon on the Thursday. Three days of lunch, a camp t-shirt and a basketball are included. Camps consist of individual skill development, contests, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games.
High School Shoot-Outs will take place on June 14-15 and the 21st-22nd. At a cost of $400 per team, every squad is guaranteed five games that consist of two 20-minute halves and licensed officials working each one. All games will be played at either the brand new Fifth Third Basketball Practice Facility or at the Carson Center. Camps emphasize skill development, team play and fun!
Grades 1-12 are invited to the Shooting Skills Camp, which will take place from June 28-29 at a cost of $120. Camps go from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day with registration beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday. Shooting skills and drills are included as well as detailed shooting instruction.
In what is a great bonding experience, the Father and Son Camp will be on June 22-23 for grades preschool through 8. The camp goes from 6 p.m. Saturday through 3 p.m. on Sunday with registration beginning Saturday at 5 p.m. It includes a camp t-shirt, three meals and a one night stay on the UE campus. Cost is $150 and emphasizes skill development, team play and fun.
