3/20/2013 5:18:00 PM

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville Athletics Department has announced the Purple Aces’ matchup for the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament as UE will play host to Eastern Kentucky on Saturday at the Physical Activities Center on the campus of USI.

The venue change for the game is due to the Icemen playing at the Ford Center this weekend.

Tip will be at 12:30 p.m. with all seats costing $15.  All tickets are general admission.  Fans are encouraged to buy tickets early as a capacity crowd is expected.  Tickets will be available at the Carson Center ticket office on Thursday and Friday and the hours both days will be from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.  UE students will be admitted free with a valid ID.

Evansville improved to 19-14 with an 84-72 victory over Tennessee State in Tuesday’s opening-round matchup at the Ford Center while the Colonels enter the weekend with a 25-9 mark after topping Gardner-Webb by a 69-62 final in their first CIT game.

Colt Ryan scored 22 points in the CIT opener as he moved within 33 points of tying Larry Humes’ all-time scoring record.  Ned Cox notched 16 points, 12 of which came from long range.  Fans will also have the chance to see UE go for its 20th win of the season, something the program has not accomplished since the 1998-99 campaign.

Eastern Kentucky is led by three players posting double figures as Glenn Cosey tops the list with 15.1 points.  He is followed by Mike DiNunno, who has tallied an average of 14.8 PPG.  Fans from the area will recognize EKU sophomore Eric Stutz.  The sophomore, who averages 8.2 points, hales from Newburgh, Ind. and attended Castle High School.
