ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Senior pitcher Sarah Patterson was named the Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week after she came off a 2-0 week against Murray State and conference opponent Wichita State in an announcement made by the league office Monday afternoon.
 
Patterson had an incredible week in the circle as she held a 0.84 ERA with two shutouts in 16.2 innings of work while notching 12 strikeouts and allowing just two runs. In her win against Wichita State, Patterson had a perfect game in which she did not allow any hits, runs, walks, or any runners on base while facing a minimum amount of hitters at 21.
 
While leading the Aces so far this season, the Lansing, Mich. native is 6-5 in the circle and has thrown eight complete games while notching three shutouts and 72 strikeouts in 79.1 innings of work.
 
Evansville will hit the road to face Southeast Missouri State on Tuesday and UT-Martin on Wednesday in midweek contests that feature doubleheaders beginning at 4:00 p.m. CST.
