Every week during the school year, GoPurpleAces.com will take a look at what lies ahead in each University of Evansville sport while recapping the week prior.  It gives Aces fans the chance to follow every sport in one convenient place each week.
 
BASEBALL:
 
Notes:  The Aces are mired in a six-game losing streak after falling in three close games this week to Xavier.  In Friday’s loss to the Musketeers, Kevin Kaczmarski registered the first grand slam for UE since April 15th, 2012 versus Wichita State.  Chris Pearson also hit a home run while hitting .471 during the week.

MEN’S GOLF
 
Notes: Evansville plays today in the UE/Butler Challenge in Jasper, Ind. as the UE men and women face Butler in the matchup.  They wrap up the season in two weeks when they travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo. for the MVC Championship.

WOMEN’S GOLF
 
Notes: A busy weekend for UE concludes on Monday with the UE/Butler Challenge at Sultan’s Run Golf Course in Jasper.  Evansville spent the weekend in Bloomington as they took 13th place at the IU Invitational. Cathy Doyle and Sydney Skiles paced UE as the duo tied for 54th place with a 243.

SOFTBALL
 
Notes:  Evansville posted a 3-2 mark this week, including a doubleheader sweep of Bradley on Saturday.  Tamara Robey has a 14-game hitting streak going, which started on March 29 against Wichita State.  The senior leads the Aces with 47 hits this year and is batting .362 on the season.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
 
Notes:  A trip to Iowa over the weekend resulted in a split for the Purple Aces women’s tennis team.  Following a 4-3 win at UNI on Saturday, Evansville fell by an identical 4-3 score on Sunday in its visit to Drake.  Reigning MVC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week Marketa Trousilova went 3-1 on the weekend, winning both singles efforts while splitting at doubles with Natasha James.  Marina Moreno won both of her singles outings, including a hard-fought win at UNI, which was the clinching tally.
