BASEBALL:
 
Notes:  Evansville is set to wrap up the regular season with a pair of midweek games beginning at home vs. the Hilltoppers on Tuesday before making the trip to Edwardsville, Ill. on Wednesday.  Shain Showers went 4-for-9 in the weekend while Kevin Kaczmarski and Jason Hockemeyer each hit .400.  Josh Biggs struck out a career-high of nine in Friday’s win at Illinois State as UE finished at .500 in the Missouri Valley Conference under head coach Wes Carroll.

SOFTBALL
 
Notes:  The UE softball team made an impressive run through the MVC Tournament before coming up just short by a 2-1 final against Northern Iowa in the championship game on Saturday.  Three Aces earned All-Tournament honors as seniors Sarah Patterson and Tamara Robey along with sophomore Kayla Fortner were named to the squad for their efforts.  Included in the impressive run were two wins in one day (MSU and ISU) before taking down No. 2 seed Drake in its run to the final game.
