A trip to London highlighted the fourth day of Sawvell's trip

Ryan Sawvell Global Sports Academy Diary - 8/12/2013

8/13/2013 6:39:00 AM

Today was our off day, we didn't have a game.  We went to London and spent the entire day there!  We took a 2 hour train ride from Brussels to London and grabbed something to eat upon our arrival.  We then had about 6 hours to look around. Some of my teammate and I went to go see Buckingham Palace.  There had to be at least 30,000 people there waiting for the queen, it was unbelievable.

After that we went to a shoe store!  Everytime anyone of my teammates or myself asks somebody if they have a size 15 or up they all laugh at us and say the highest the carry is a 12! It's such a tease over here!  We cheked out a few other stores. They had so many shoes that we all wanted, but didn't have our size! It was so frustrating!

After our show shopping we went over and grabbed some fast food.  That was probably the best meal I've had since I've been in Europe.  We then went to go see the London Bridge, Big Ben, and the building where the queen got married.  We took about 8 trains back and forth to see all of these iconic buildings.  It's very similar to Chicago, just like Brussels. Tomorrow we're going to Amsterdam and have a game at 8:15pm.  I'll talk to you guys tomorrow! See ya!
