EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men's soccer team will welcome Eastern Illinois, Green Bay and NJIT to Arad McCutchan Stadium this weekend for the annual ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic. The host Purple Aces will play NJIT Friday evening at 7:30 p.m., before wrapping up the two-day event Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against Eastern Illinois.

Evansville (3-2-1) is receiving votes in a pair of national polls this week after posting wins over nationally-ranked Saint Louis and Georgia State last weekend at McCutchan Stadium. Sophomore

Faik Hajderovic racked up four assists last week, after posting a three-assist performance against Georgia State.

Jared Robinson are tied for the team lead with six points on the season. Gonzalez has netted a trio of goals for his six points, while Hajderovic has scored once and dished out a team-high four assists and Robinson has scored twice and recorded two assists. Junior goalkeeper
Eric Teppen enters the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic with a 1.20 goals against average, .810 save percentage and a shutout, and ranks fifth nationally with 34 saves.

As a team, UE has put 50 of its 109 shots on goal for a .459 shot on goal percentage and has outshot its opponents, 109-101. Evansville ranks fifth nationally with 14 total assists and 13th in the country in assists per game at 2.33. The Aces' defense has allowed six first-half goals this season, but has conceded just two after the opening 45 minutes.

NJIT (2-3-1) enters the weekend after posting a 3-0 victory over St. Bonaventure in its lone match last week. Tommy Osipitan scored a pair of goals in the win by finding the back of the net in the 56th and 63rd minutes, while Sven Beverst notched the final tally of the match in the 89th minute. Goalkeeper David Tuchinsky collected seven saves to preserve the shutout.

Individually, Osipitan leads the Highlanders with four points on two goals, and Marko Drljic and Matija Blazic have each scored three points on a goal and an assist. Goalkeeper Alexander Czempik enters the weekend with a 1-3-1 record, 1.27 goals against average, .760 save percentage and 19 saves in his 425 minutes in net, while Tuchinsky has yet to allow a goal and has turned away 10 opposing shots in 135 minutes between the pipes.

NJIT has outscored its opponents, 7-6, but have been outshot, 88-67, and trail, 47-21, in the corner kick column.

Eastern Illinois (0-4-0) dropped a pair of matches to Loyola (Ill.) and Western Michigan last weekend, falling to the Ramblers, 4-1, before dropping a 3-1 decision to the Broncos. Tony Meza scored the lone goal for the Panthers against Loyola and Spencer Filosa was the goal scorer for EIU against Western Michigan. Garrett Creasor and Ben Feltes split time in goal for Eastern Illinois, as Creasor made two saves against Loyola and Feltes collected five saves against Western Michigan.

Jake Brillhart leads the Panthers with three points on three assists, while four other EIU players are tied for second on the team with two points. Creasor leads the Eastern Illinois goalkeeping corps with a 2.97 goals against average and 181:33 in goal. Feltes has made a team high five saves and sports a 3.00 goals against average, while Austin Miller has made a save and allowed three goals in his one start.

As a team, the Panthers have been outscored, 12-4, and have allowed seven second-half goals. EIU has been outshot, 51-46, and have conceded 23 corner kicks, while taking only 15.

Green Bay (3-2-1) dropped a pair of games to Northwestern and Northern Illinoi last weekend at the NIU adidas Invitational in DeKalb, Ill. The Phoenix opened the event with a  4-0 loss to the Wildcats, before falling, 2-1, to the host Huskies. Lawrence Talery scored the lone goal for Green Bay in the 22nd minute against NIU. Phoenix goalkeeper Kyle Ihn finished the weekend with four saves, turning away three shots against Northwestern, before collecting one save in the loss to Northern Illinois.

Four Green Bay players have recorded five or more points on the season, including Sam Krenzien, who leads the squad with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Talery has racked up seven points on two goals and three assists, and Sabastian Xiong has bolstered the Phoenix offense with six points on a trio of goals.

As a team, Green Bay has been outscored, 13-12, but has outshot its opponents, 77-62, and put 40.3 percent of its attempts on goal. The Phoenix have earned 30 corner kicks on the season and are averaging 12.8 shots per contest.

Friday's match with NJIT will mark the first ever meeting between Evansville and the Highlanders, while the Aces lead the all-time series with Eastern Illinois, 17-9-4. The Aces have won the last seven matches against the Panthers, including a 3-0 victory last season in Charleston, Ill. EIU's last victory over UE came in 2006, when Eastern Illinois downed Evansville, 3-0. Evansville has played the Panthers at least once per year dating back to 1996, a span of 17-straight seasons.
