2013-14 SCHEDULE

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville women's basketball head coach Oties Epps unveiled the Purple Aces' 2013-14 schedule Wednesday afternoon, a slate that includes 10 games against teams that advanced to postseason tournaments in 2012-13.
 
"We are excited to open the 2013-14 schedule on our home court," Epps said.  "We will face five non-conference teams that played in postseason tournaments.  Our non-conference schedule will be challenging, however, it will prepare us for the grind of the MVC." 
 
Evansville's 29-game regular-season schedule features 14 home matchups and six games against 20-win teams from last season.  The Aces will once again welcome cross-town rival Southern Indiana to the Ford Center for an exhibition game (Nov. 2), prior to opening the regular season against 2013 Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) participant Eastern Illinois (Nov. 8)
 
UE will host the Panthers, Murray State (Nov. 11), Ball State (No. 20), IPFW (Dec. 4) and 2013 NCAA Tournament participant Toledo (Dec. 30) in non-conference play and will go on the road to take on WNIT selection Missouri (Nov. 14), Austin Peay (Nov. 23), NCAA Tournament participant UT Martin (Nov. 25), Troy (Dec. 8) and Saint Louis (Dec. 21) to complete its non-conference slate.
 
Evansville opens Missouri Valley Conference play at the Ford Center against MVC newcomer Loyola (Jan. 2), before hosting Bradley (Jan. 4), who participated in the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) last season. 
 
The Aces continue their Valley slate with road games at Northern Iowa (Jan. 10), a 2013 WNIT selection, and Drake (Jan. 12), before returning to the Ford Center to host a pair of WNIT teams in Indiana State (Jan. 16) and Illinois State (Jan. 19).
 
UE wraps up the first half of its conference schedule with three-consecutive road contests by traveling to Southern Illinois (Jan. 26), Missouri State (Jan. 31) and 2012-13 MVC regular-season co-champion and MVC Tournament champion Wichita State (Feb 2.)
 
The second half of Evansville's MVC slate includes home games with Drake (Feb. 6), Northern Iowa (Feb. 8), Southern Illinois (Feb. 23), Wichita State (Feb. 27) and Missouri State (Mar. 1) and road matchups with Illinois State (Feb. 14), Indiana State (Feb. 16), Bradley (Mar. 6) and Loyola (Mar. 8).
 
The MVC Tournament will once again be held at The Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo., from March 13-16.
