NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Purple Aces women's tennis team picked up three singles victories but the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State matched that while taking the doubles point to earn a 4-3 win on Saturday at Nashboro Village.

At flight two singles,
Marketa Trousilova was dominant as she picked up a win over Jesse Grace, 6-3, 7-5.Â
Kelsey Costales played equally well in the fifth spot, picking up the win over Irina Constantinide, 6-3, 6-3.

Mina Milovic earned the third point of the day for the University of Evansville as she defeated Sarah Sediri in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 10-2.

Natasha James was defeated by Tiffany William at top singles, 6-2, 6-4 while
Marina Moreno fell to Nayara Moraes in the third group, 6-4, 6-4. Flavia Nagayama got past
Andjela Brguljan at flight four, taking the win in a pair of sets, 6-3, 6-1.

MTSU swept through double play beginning as the top group of Williams and Grace defeated James and Trousilova, 7-5. Costales and Brguljan were defeated by Constantinide and Moraes, 7-5 while third flight doubles saw Nagayama and Sediri defeated Moreno and Milovic, 6-0.

UE continues its season next weekend in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Aces face Lipscomb on Feb. 1 before playing host Chattanooga on Feb. 2.
