Terry scores first goal of season in Aces 5-1 loss to Kentucky

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men's soccer team (4-7-1) lost 5-1 to the University of Kentucky Wildcats on Wednesday night.
 
Senior forward Dylan Terry scored the lone goal of the match for UE, his first of the season.
 
The two teams played through rain showers throughout the match.
 
The Aces and Wildcats held a scoreless tie until the 25th minute. After UE failed to convert on a corner kick, UK went the other way and created a 3-on-1 for a Justin Laird goal. It was his fourth of the season and handed Kentucky a 1-0 lead.
 
The Wildcats tacked on another goal in the 34th minute when Ryan Creel took a contested shot in the six yard box and found the back of the net for the 2-0 advantage.
 
UK took the 2-0 lead into the half and added another two goals after the break.
 
Down 4-0, UE had a throw in to Dylan Terry who weaved through the Wildcats defense for an Aces goal.
 
UK notched one goal later in the match for the 5-1 win.
 
Senior goalkeeper Eric Teppen made six saves in the match for UE.
 
Junior midfielder Faik Hajderovic led the Aces with six shots.
 
Evansville will now play at Louisville in their next match on Tuesday, October 21. The match is set for 6:30 p.m.
