10 QUESTIONS WITH ASIA PETITTE
Favorite color: Purple
Favorite meal: TGI Friday's barbeque chicken flatbread without red onions or peppers
Favorite class: Philosophy Bio-ethics and Biology. I love being challenged in the classroom and both of these classes are definitely challenging.
Most inspirational person in your life: My mother, father, and sister. Everything I do is for them. I hope one day I can provide half of the things for them that they have provided for me.
Favorite basketball figure: LeBron James
Major: Biology but planning to minor in theater also. I want to continue to medical school and proceed into dermatology then become a Moh's surgeon
Reason you chose UE: Great academics which is a huge thing for me because I'm a nerd . Also, the first class basketball facilities were important to me. It's hard to find a gym better than ours. Also, it's only five hours from my family so I know I'll definitely see them at every home game
Most memorable UE moment: The team's inside joke that "Mal's best isn't Khristian's best, and Khristian's best isn't Mal's best". Coach Epps still doesn't understand why we all laugh when he says "Just do your best"
Most important goal as a student athlete: Win the MVC Championship and also make an NCAA tournament appearance. I am also getting prepared for medical school once I graduate from UE
What does being a Purple Ace mean to you? Being a Purple Ace means a lot to me. At UE, I have the opportunity to go to school for free and get an education so my parents don't have to worry about paying for college. I also have the opportunity to be a part of an amazing team. I think it's something special when I can wear a jersey that represents both of my families (Evansville and Petitte).
The Aces regular season opener will be against Austin Peay on Sunday, November 16. The tip is set for 1:00 p.m at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Fans can purchase tickets over the phone at 812-488-ACES (2237), in person at either the Carson Center or Ford Center ticket office, or online via Ticketmaster.com.
