INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's basketball team (5-4) looks to extend their winning streak to five when they play at IUPUI on Sunday, December 21. The game is set for 1:00 p.m. at The Jungle in Indianapolis, Ind.

Evansville won their last game 94-85 at home against Troy on Thursday, December 18. The Aces shot a program record 62.5% from the floor, scored a season-high in points and posted five double digit scoring efforts in the victory. Making her season debut, senior guard
Kat Taylor returned from a ruptured Achilles to score 10 points and dish a career-high 8 assists on her 22
nd birthday. Evansville also received a game-high 22 points from sophomore guard
Sara Dickey, her 15
th career game of 20 or more points. Senior forward
Mallory Ladd posted her 19
th career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

On the stat sheet, UE has three players scoring double figures with Dickey (19.9 points per game), Ladd (17.7) and Taylor (10.0). Ladd boasts a team-best 8.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 blocks per game. Freshman guard
Taloni Reese is gathering 2.0 steals per game. UE is averaging 70.3 points and 35.2 rebounds per game. The Aces are making 42.1% of their field goals, 34.6% of threes, and 69.9% at the free throw line.

IUPUI (4-7) has won two of their last three games, including a 95-45 victory over IU-Southeast in their previous contest on Thursday. The Jaguars shot 58.9% in the win that featured five players scoring in double figures. Center Mikale Rogers posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Statistically, forward Nevena Markovic leads IUPUI with 9.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Guard Caitlyn Tolen has a team-best 29 assists and 12 steals this season. The Jaguars are shooting 46.1% from the floor, 38.4% on threes, and 66.2% at the charity stripe. IUPUI is netting 70.2 points and securing 38.4 rebounds per game.

Evansville is projected to finish fourth in the MVC preseason poll, their highest projection since 2008-2009. Dickey was also named to the preseason All-Conference team. The Aces are led by fourth year head coach
Oties Epps. IUPUI was voted to finish third in the Summit League preseason poll. Markovic was selected to the Summit League Preseason Team for the Jaguars.

UE is 7-5 all- time against IUPUI. The teams have not met since December 2, 2007 when the Aces won 59-53 at Roberts Stadium. Courtney Felke and Anaris Sickles both scored 13 points each in the victory.
