Evansville Tennis Travels To Louisville

2/7/2014 3:35:00 PM

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Purple Aces women's tennis team makes its final road trip prior to its home opener, traveling to face Louisville on Saturday at noon ET.

Evansville has held its own so far in 2014 despite its 0-3 mark.  The opening two matches were lost by just one point at 3-4.

A pair of Aces are 2-1 in dual play thus far as Mina Milovic and Marketa Trousilova have gotten off to solid starts.  Each started off the season with victories in their respective flights against Middle Tennessee State and Lipscomb.  Trousilova played the season opener in the second flight before making her second and third starts at flight one last weekend.

Milovic picked up both of her singles triumphs in flight six while falling in the fifth group against Chattanooga last weekend.

Louisville is currently 2-2 on the spring season, with a win against Missouri and Morehead and losses to Florida and DePaul. The meeting with Evansville will be the second of three straight home matches. The Cards swept Morehead 7-0 on Thursday in the home opener.

Next Friday, the Aces will finally get to play in front of the home crowd as they play host to Eastern Illinois beginning at 7 p.m. at Tri-State Athletic Club.
