CSCAA RELEASE

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville swimming & diving team has been named to the 2013 Fall College Swimming Coaches Association of America All-America Team. The CSCAA Scholar All-America program is supported by Nike.
 
The Team Scholar All-American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester/term and in the semester/term of the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring.)
 
Coach Rickey Perkins was very proud of his team:
 
"I'm extremely proud of our team and how they have competed inside the classroom and in the pool. Being a student athlete it requires a lot of time and dedication to be able to balance the rigorous swimming and diving season and the coursework for their classes and I couldn't be more proud of my athletes."
 
The CSCAA was founded in 1922 and is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America.
 
The women's swimming and diving team was ranked 33^rd nationally on the women's side with a team GPA of 3.41, while the men's squad was ranked 61^st nationally on the men's.
