EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Doubles partners
Andjela Brguljan and
Mina Milovic earned their first triumph as the University of Evansville women's tennis team earned an impressive 5-2 win over IPFW on Saturday at Wesselman Park.

Brguljan and Milovic teamed up to defeat IPFW's Carlota Trevino and Ella Norgren, 8-7. It marked their first win in five doubles efforts. Their victory was pivotal as the Aces took the doubles point from the Mastadons.

Marketa Trousilova and
Marina Moreno picked up an 8-0 victory at second flight doubles. They beat Miloslava Shustova and Emily Richardson to improve to 7-0 as a team. Top flight doubles saw Marcy Huck and Mayu Sato defeat
Kelsey Costales and
Natasha James, 8-4.

In singles action, Evansville took four out of the six matchups to clinch the home victory. Leading the way at No. 1 singles was Trousilova. The junior defeated Sato, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. It was an impressive effort for Trousilova as Sato entered Saturday's match with a 13-1 mark at top singles.

James kept it going at flight two as she defeated Norgren, 6-3, 6-3. Flight three saw Moreno earn the win in two sets. She got past Sofia Sorokina, 6-3, 6-2.

Brguljan completed her perfect day at No. 5 singles, topping Huck, 6-4, 6-3.

At flight four, Shustova rallied for the win over Costales, 2-6, 7-5, 10-7. Milovic fell to Trevino as No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-4.

Momentum is on Evansville's side as the Aces head into Missouri Valley Conference play. The Aces open their conference slate on Wednesday at Southern Illinois in a 2 p.m. match. On March 30, UE travels to IUPUI to make up an earlier match that was cancelled due to inclement weather.
