EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville softball team will travel to Nashville, Tenn., to take on Belmont University in a mid-week game. The Aces will take on the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. at E.S. Rose Park.

The Purple Aces will enter the mid-week contest with a 12-12 overall record after losing a conference series 0-3 to Missouri Valley Conference rival this past weekend.

The Bruins, 7-18 overall, will be coming off of a five-game losing streak, with their most recent loss, 5-0, being against Murray State on Sunday.

Belmont will enter the game behind junior Kat Hollingsworth, Hollingsworth is hitting .386 with two homeruns, 15 RBI, eight stolen bases and seven walks. Behind Hollingsworth is Jessica Wilson. Wilson has four homeruns and 18 RBI with a .485 slugging percentage and 11 runs this season. In the circle for the Bruins is Taylor Moon. Moon has a 3.58 ERA with a 3-5 record in 58.2 innings of work and striking out 28.

After the mid-week game, Evansville will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa to take on MVC rival UNI in a weekend conference series.
