PEORIA, Ill. –
A balanced scoring attack led the University of Evansville women's basketball team to its seventh-straight win, as four Purple Aces' starters scored in double figures in a 73-55 victory over Bradley Thursday night at the Renaissance Coliseum in Peoria, Ill.

Freshman Sara Dickey led Evansville (14-14, 9-8 MVC) with 19 points, as the Aces shot 50.0 percent or better for the third-consecutive game by finishing 28-for-55 from the field for a 50.9 percent clip.  Junior Mallory Ladd notched her eighth double-double of the year by scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 boards, while freshman Sasha Robinson tallied 14 points and hauled down eight rebounds.  Junior Kat Taylor rounded out UE's list of double-digit scorers by registering 10 points and dishing out a game-high six assists.

With the game tied at 9-9 just under four minutes into the contest, Evansville began to pull away by going 7-0 run that was capped by Ladd's 12-foot, baseline jumper with 14:02 remaining in the opening stanza.

Dickey drained a three-pointer from the right corner to give the Aces a 23-15 advantage, before she later hit a slashing Robinson on a cut to the basket pushing UE's margin to 32-23 with 3:38 remaining in the half.

Bradley (7-21, 4-13 MVC) went on a quickly scoring spurt late in the half, when Michelle Young converted on a layup following a steal by Fantasia Vine to bring the Braves within five at 32-27 at the 2:00 mark, but Evansville led at the half, 34-27.

The Aces knocked down 53.6 percent of their first-half shot attempts (15-for-28) and went 4-for-8 from distance, while BU finished the opening 20 minutes with a 41.4 percent clip and hit only one of its eight first-half treys.

UE took control in the second half, as it scored the first four points of the second period and never looked back.  Dickey scored her 500th point of the season on a 12 foot jumper just eight seconds in the half to become only the fourth player in program history to reach the 500-point mark in a season.  In addition, Dickey became only the second freshman in the history of the Missouri Valley Conference to score 500 or more points during their freshman campaign, with the other being the legendary Jackie Stiles.

Evansville used a 16-6 run midway through the half to push its lead to 58-36 with 9:57 to play, when Taylor sank a pair of shots from the charity stripe, before freshman Dakota Weatherford made a driving layup at the 9:06 mark to give the Aces their largest lead of the game at 60-37.

Bradley would cut the lead to 15 with 4:40 remaining in the game, following a layup by Kelsey Budd, but UE quickly responded to close out a 73-55 victory.

Young was the only Brave to finish in double figures, as she finished 7-for-10 from the floor for 15 points.  Frings, Catie O'Leary and Aly Spinas-Valainis all tallied seven points in the loss, and O'Leary recorded a game-high 12 rebounds.

Evansville outrebounded BU, 37-29, and outscored Bradley, 36-32, in the paint, as the Aces overcame 20 turnovers.
