EVANSVILLE, Ind. – For the first time since the House of Champions event ended on Nov. 23, the Purple Aces men's swimming and diving team will take to the pool to face Ball State.
The meet is set for 2 p.m. ET in Muncie, Ind. While the Purple Aces have not swam competitively since the House of Champions, they have been busy preparing for the spring. The team engaged in a training trip to Florida over Christmas break before practicing hard after returning to campus.
A 16-event format will comprise the meet and results should be available soon after the completion of the match.
Evansville's series against Ball State has been extremely competitive. The home team has been victorious in each of the last four years. In November of 2013, the Aces earned a 179-107 win over the Cardinals in Evansville.
In last year's victory, Ethan O'Rourke had a stellar meet for UE. He took top honors in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard backstroke with times of 52.97 and 1:57.01.
Next weekend, both swimming and diving squads will be back at Wyttenbach Pool to face Saint Louis. The meet is slated for 2 p.m. on Jan. 24.
