NORMAL, Ill. –
The University of Evansville women's basketball team (9-7, 4-1) received a game-high 24 points from guard Khristian Hart in a 62-50 win at Illinois State on Friday night. Hart tied a season-high with nine made field goals in 13 chances. The Evansville native also was 4-for-6 beyond the arc to fuel a third straight win for UE.

During the winning streak, Evansville is holding opponents to just 44.7 points per game. The Aces have now held the opposition to 50 points or less in four games this year.

Tied at four early on, the Aces went on an 8-2 run to build an advantage. After layups from forward Mallory Ladd and Hart, guard Kat Taylor hit back to back threes for a 14-6 edge.

The Redbirds answered, however, by scoring the next eight points and tying the game at 14. Evansville then roared back by scoring 10 of the next 13 points for a 24-17 lead. Guard Sara Dickey, Hart, and forward Sasha Robinson all scored during the stretch as UE went into halftime with a 30-25 advantage.

The Aces made five three-point field goals (nine overall) in the opening half for the five point lead. Hart led Evansville with 10 points in the first half. Dickey added another seven as Taylor also had six points off the bench.

With an early second half basket, the Redbirds clawed back within three only to see UE regain a double digit lead. Ahead 32-29, Evansville went on a 7-0 run as Dickey made a pair of lay-ups and Hart converted on another three. The Aces built the lead as high as 12 before Illinois State brought the deficit back to six.

Up 49-43, Evansville ended the game on a 13-7 run to claim the victory, the third straight Aces win at Redbird Arena.

Hart scored 14 of her 24 points in the second half of the win. The 24 points is just two shy of Hart's season-high 26 at Ball State (11-19-14) and four under her career-high 28 vs. Missouri State (1-25-13). Hart has now scored double figures in four of the Aces' last five games played.

Dickey tallied 14 points in the win for UE. Ladd ended the night with eight points and nine rebounds. Robinson also had a seven point, 11 rebound game in the victory.

UE will complete the weekend roadtrip at Southern Illinois University on Sunday, Jan. 18. The tip is set for 12:05 p.m. at SIU Arena in Carbondale, Ill.

Evansville will put their 6-0 home mark and 10-game home winning streak on the line on Friday, Jan. 23 when the Aces host Northern Iowa at the Ford Center at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at 812-488-ACES (2237), in person at either the Carson Center or Ford Center ticket office, or online via Ticketmaster.com.
