West Lafayette, IN– The University of Evansville Women's Tennis team saw more action in the ITA Regional which is hosted by Purdue University on Friday.  After Thursday's qualification draws not showing the results they wanted, the Aces looked for Marina Moreno at singles and Marine Darzyan and Doreen Crasta at doubles to perform well on Friday in the main draw.
 
Moreno, the senior, was able to get things started for the Aces on Friday.  In her first match she took on Kate Lanier of Kentucky and was able to pick the victory by a score of 6-4, 7-5.  Moreno is set to take on Syndey Campbell of Vanderbilt at 9:30 in the morning on Saturday.  Campbell is the number one seed in the singles bracket and currently ranks 7^th in the nation according to the ITA Rankings.
 
In doubles action, freshmen Marine Darzyan and Doreen Crasta saw their first action of the tournament on Friday when they took on Laura Argente and Raquel Montalvo of Eastern Kentucky.  The duo was able to claim an 8-3 victory in the match.  They then took on Kentucky's Mami Adachi and Aldila Sutjiada, who are ranked 9^th in the nation in the ITA rankings, and were defeated by a final score of 8-0.
 
The Aces will continue play tomorrow and Sunday with the tournament concluding on Monday.
