NEW CASTLE, Ind. – Two former University of Evansville women's basketball players were honored by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on Tuesday as each was named to the 1991 Silver Anniversary team.

Tricia Deffendoll and Natasha Weddle were among the 18 to earn the designation, which serves to recognize the accomplishments of the top high school seniors in the state during the 1990-91 season.

Deffendoll, who was an all-state honoree in 1991, finished her Aces career with 1,232 points, which ranks 10th in school history. Prior to her time in Evansville, she took home all-conference accolades all four years for Pike Central High School, setting records for assists (399) and points (1,621).

Weddle, a 1991 Indiana All-Star, began her collegiate career at NC State before transferring to UE for her junior and senior seasons. She would end her Aces career with 347 points and 270 rebounds. The former Indian Creek High School standout completed her prep career with 12 school records, averaging 17.8 points and 11.1 boards.

Both Deffendoll and Weddle, as well as the rest of the Silver Anniversary squad, will be celebrated at the 15th Annual Women's Banquet on April 16, 2016. For more information, visit HoopsHall.org
