EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's basketball team (10-13, 5-7) will hold their annual Think Pink game when they play Illinois State on Sunday afternoon. The tip is set for 2:00 p.m. at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.

UE Athletics will be handing out pink t-shirts and pink wristed bracelets to fans at the game. The Aces will also have a ceremony at halftime honoring cancer survivors.

Evansville was defeated in their first game this weekend, a 62-53 loss to Southern Illinois on Friday night. Guard
Sara Dickey led UE offensively with 32 points in the contest. Forward
Sasha Robinson also gathered 11 rebounds in the game vs. SIU.

With 20 points on Sunday, Dickey will become the 19
th player in UE women's basketball history to reach 1,000 points.

UE is 6-3 at home this season and will look to end a six game losing streak.

On the stat sheet, Evansville's Dickey (18.9 points per game), forward
Mallory Ladd (15.3) and guard
Khristian Hart (10.5) are all averaging double figures. Dickey also has the most assists (59) as Hart has totaled a team-best with 37 steals for UE this year. Ladd is notching a team-high 0.9 blocks per game. Robinson is securing 8.5 rebounds per game, a team-high. UE is averaging 62.4 points and 33.3 rebounds per game. The Aces make 40.4% of their field goals, 35.5% of threes, and 64.2% at the free throw line.

Illinois State (1-22,1-10) enters the Sunday matchup on a three-game losing streak. The Redbirds lost at Indiana State 74-65. Forward Octavia Crump (18 points) and guard Katy Winge (17) each scored double digits in the defeat.

Statistically, forward Octavia Crump leads Illinois State with 11.4 points per game. Winge is also averaging double figures at 10.6 points per game. Guard Colleene Smith is bringing in a team-high 6.0 rebounds per game. Guard Taylor Stewart pilots the Redbirds offense with 41 assists this season. Illinois State is averaging 51.2 points and 36.6 rebounds per game. The Redbirds shoot 32.8% from the floor, 28.0% beyond the arc, and 66.5% at the free throw line.

Evansville is projected to finish fourth in the MVC preseason poll, their highest projection since 2008-2009. Dickey was also named to the preseason All-Conference team. The Aces are guided by fourth year head coach

Illinois State leads the all-time series 27-15 against Evansville. UE won the earlier meeting at the Redbirds 62-50 on Jan. 16.
