Aces' Sunday Doubleheader vs. WKU moved to Noon

EMERSON, Ga. –
The University of Evansville Purple Aces baseball team (2-2) will have a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 22 against Western Kentucky beginning at 12 p.m. CT. The doubleheader begins with a nine-inning game from Saturday, Feb. 21 that was postponed due to rain and will also include a seven-inning contest after the completion of game one.
 
The doubleheader will be played at the Perfect Game Baseball Field at LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Ga.

LHP Brodie Harkness (1-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. WKU LHP John Harman (0-0, 7.36)
 
Game 2 – Sunday, Feb. 22 at TBD
UE RHP Matt Rodgers (1-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. WKU LHP Austin King (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Due to the relocation of the series from Bowling Green,Ky. to Georgia, there will be no audio or video feeds for the series. However, live stats will be provided throughout the weekend and are available at WKUSports.com .

LAST TIME OUT
The Purple Aces lost the series opener to WKU 5-3 on Saturday night. Right-hander Connor Strain delivered his first quality start of the season, going 6.0 innings and allowing three runs (two earned). Strain also retired 11 batters in a row at one point and induced 13 ground ball outs. The UE offense failed to give Strain quality run support as the Aces left 12 men on base and struck out 10 times on the evening. Outfielders Kevin Kaczmarski and Jarod Perry both had two hits and one run scored.
 
WHAT'S UP WITH WESTERN
WKU lost the opener 7-3 against Maryland in the Caravelle Resort Tournament. They won 9-4 vs. Coastal Carolina and were postponed against Canisius.
 
THE SERIES
Western Kentucky leads the all-time series 36-28 against UE. The teams have not met since 2013 when the Hilltoppers won both games of a home and home.
 
WE'RE GOING HOME
UE has their first home game at Braun Stadium on Friday, February 27 when they play Oakland as part of a three-game weekend series.
