Dickey and Hart combine for 43 points in loss at Loyola

CHICAGO – The University of Evansville women's basketball team (10-11, 5-5) received a combined 43 points from guards Sara Dickey and Khristian Hart in an Aces' 70-58 loss at Loyola on Friday night.

Dickey led UE with a team-high 24 points as Hart added another 19 points in the defeat, the fourth consecutive loss for Evansville.
 
Playing without second leading scorer Mallory Ladd, the Aces missed their first six shots and fell behind 12-0.
 
UE would rally back behind Dickey, who scored eight of the first 12 points for the Aces.
 
Evansville brought the deficit to four points, 16-12, on a Hart layup with 11:37 to play in the opening half.
 
Loyola then extended the lead back up to 14 shortly before halftime, but an 8-0 personal run from Hart brought the difference to 10 at the break. Loyola held the 34-24 lead at halftime with 10 points from forward Taylor Manuel. She ended the night with a career-high 29 points. UE shot just 29.6% from the floor with 11 turnovers in the opening stanza.
 
The Purple Aces outscored the Ramblers 15-7 after halftime to pull within two, 41-39, with 12:55 remaining. Hart scored five points during the stretch as forward Peyton Langston tallied the last five points of the run.
 
Loyola inched back ahead by as much as six points only to see UE storm back on a 9-2 run to take their only lead of the game, 54-53.
 
Down by a point, the Ramblers re-gained an advantage of five points but a Hart jumper at 3:41 brought UE within three, 60-57.
 
With only 3:41 to play, Loyola would end the game on a 10-1 run to earn the win and snap a 15-game losing streak.
 
Forward Sasha Robinson secured 12 rebounds on the night, her 15th career double-digit rebound game. This is the fourth time in the last six games that Robinson has grabbed double-digit rebounds.
 
The Aces will complete a three game road trip in their next game at Bradley on Sunday, Feb. 8. The game will be held at the Renaissance Coliseum in Peoria, Ill. and begin at 2:00 p.m.

Evansville is back at home on Friday, Feb. 13 when the Aces host the Southern Illinois Salukis. The tip is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.
