EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville baseball team (7-6) concludes a three-game weekend series at Ohio State with a doubleheader on Sunday, March 15. The games will be played at Nick Swisher Field in Bill Davis Stadium.

This set will serve as the final weekend series tune-up for Evansville before they begin conference play next weekend against Dallas Baptist.

LAST TIME OUTEvansville scored six runs in the seventh inning and held off an Ohio State late rally to beat the Buckeyes 10-9 on Saturday afternoon. Five Purple Aces batters tallied multi-hit games for Evansville. Starting pitcher Connor Strain (1-1) threw his third straight quality start to secure his first victory of the season.

WHAT'S BREWING WITH THE BUCKEYES?Ohio State (8-5) began the year by winning three consecutive games then dropping four in a row. The Buckeyes four game winning streak was stopped on Saturday with the Aces' win in the series opener.

THE SERIESThe doubleheader will serve as the second and third games ever played between UE baseball and Ohio State. The Aces owna 1-0 edge in the series by way of a 10-9 victory on Saturday.
